Dear all

I have been away for the last two days camping out and looking for the Princess
Parrots again where Ian, Pat, Geoff and I saw them south of Mt Liebig. It is
only 60-70km from home. Fortunately being a resident at this community I am
able to explore the area.

Now just having returned home and checking all the emails, I can see there are
going to be significant problems getting permits on time. Hoping I can help, I
went to the manager of our community and told him I had seen a rare bird 25km
west of Brown's Bore and that there could be some birdwatchers interested in
driving in to have a look. Would it be all right? He told me he would check
with the right people tomorrow and let me know. If I get a positive response I
will let you all know.

However please note:
a.. This area is not at the place where we saw many flocks. That is farther
south
b.. I spent quite a few hours over the last two days exactly where we saw
them and in other suitable areas and I saw no Princess Parrots at all
c.. The track is overgrown in places. You are going to get your car scratched
as you push through bushes - my Troopy has obvious markings. I don't mind if it
means photographing Princess Parrots but I think hire companies might take a
different view.
Will get back to you

Regards
Don
