A reach out for advice please folks.

Keith Hindwood was a great mentor of mine in my early birding years, so L.
hindwoodi is definitiely on my "100 birds to see before you die" list. A bit of
a pilgrimage you might say.

I have a chance to visit Mackay Qld for a week later this month (August) and
can spend at least three days up in the Clarke Range, probably based at Broken
River.

Now I know it may not be an ideal time of year based on my search of the
archives, and while I have done my research on the referenced locations, if
anyone has any tips for late winter/early spring I would be most grateful.

I am planning on hiring only a 2WD vehicle on arrival, so any advice on the
wisdom of that would also be very welcome.

Offline would be just great unless of interest to the broad community and of
course will report in and "Atlas" on return.

Best to all.
