Hi Colin,
I live down the road and believe Ian is referring to Oakman Park on the corner
of Moggill Rd and Union St in Toowong. This is adjacent to the Brisbane Boys
College ovals and surrounded by some sizable Eucalypts. On the Moggill Rd side
of the park there is a large old steam engine wheel.
Guess I will be looking for the Swifties this weekend:-)
Cheers,

Hi Ian V reported Swift Parrots in Harry Oakman Park in Toowong, Brisbane -
behind the big wheel - a couple of weeks ago. I have been unable to locate the
park in question and find it difficult to relate the 'big wheel' to the area
described. Can I ask is it the big wheel on the Southbank side of the river
outside the cultural centre in South Brisbane or another wheel I am unfamiliar
with? Has anyone else seen Swifties anywhere in the area more recently? Sorry,
Ian, I don't have your email address. Regards, Colin Brisbane -- Colin
