Hi all, Andrew Stafford and I visited Noosa today on the rising tide and successfully located the Hooded Plover with a scope within about 10 minutes from Wood Park (off the end of Hastings St). The google map on the Bird-O site has a pin basically where we were standing when we found the bird, so use that to get directions if you don't know the area. The bird was on the main sandbar and wasn't always visible, but moved around a lot. I've added my sighting plus a couple of others to the page, so check out my notes and a list of other species found on the day here: http://birdo.wildiaries.com/trips/10233/trip_days/10709/display Regards, Chris =============================== www.birding-aus.org birding-aus.blogspot.com To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: =============================== |
