We regularly get Striated Herons on the fresh water reaches of our rivers in
the Wide bay area of Queensland. I recorded 2 on the fresh water Burnett
River near Gayndah. They are also found on the fresh water Kolan River where
there was a breeding record about 10 yrs ago.
