G'day all,
There have been some very drizzly days in Alice lately but
the birding has been great.

A Black-shouldered Kite with nesting material over Roe Creek, a Pallid
Cuckoo at the western end of the Ilparpa Claypans, and a Singing
(Horsfield's) Bushlark at the same area.

Sacred Kingfishers are everywhere at the moment, and I had the
'Golden-backed' form of the Black-chinned Honeyeater at King's Canyon
yesterday.

Two Bustards on the road near the Lilla turn off near King's Canyon, and the
canyon itself is full of Masked, Little, and Black-faced Woodswallows at the
moment.

Also had great views of a Spotted Harrier about 50kms west of Tnorala on the
Mereenie Loop last week.

Regards, Chris Watson
