Hi Denise,

I like your ideas, especially the one about allowing Australians to legally
keep some of our native species as pets, such as  human-bonded orphans &
disabled animals/birds that caring agencies would normally kill due to being
unreleasable. People buy cats for their affection, companionship, and
because its legal to do it here, whereas there are plenty of native birds
and animals that could provide those same needs. I agree it would go a long
way in shaping the attitudes of children (and has done so).
