Myself and John Hammond heading out on a big day out on Thursday - out to
Girraween, Stanthorpe, Lake Coolmunda at Inglewood, Durakai and the nearby
Cement Mills Road.

One target bird for John ( and a bird Ive not seen for many a year) is the
Chestnut-rumped Heath-wren. This will be our third attempt in recent times to
see one at Girraween - do any local birders have any assistance or tips on
where best in the park to see the bird ( ie best track/time/method?) - the
last two times weve not seen or heard a trace, so keen not to dip again!

Has anyone been out to Lake Coolmunda lately? I figure the area has had a lot
of the recent rain?

Anyone seen Squatters recently at Cement Mills Road or any other location out
that way?

cheers and thanks in advance,

David Taylor
