Thanks Shirley (and Stephen).

I've had a few private responses from others who live near Lane Cove
National Park, all of whom say that White-bellied Sea-eagles are seen
occasionally along the Lane Cove River. As Stephen D says, they could be the
Homebush Bay pair. Andy Burton also tells me that Ospreys are also sometimes
seen near the location where I saw the White-bellied Sea-eagles.

So the moral of the story is that I should spend more time bird-watching and
less time working (although, unfortunately, today is a working day for me)!
