Yesterday I flushed two Ground Parrots separately at a new site near Noosa, on the Sunshine Coast. This is the second site where I have found Ground Parrots close to Noosa, although they are in the same general region and the habitat is similar - low wallum heath on flat sandplain, which is reasonably open, having been burned several years ago. I had 3 Fork-tailed Swifts hawking over the heath, and Fairy Gerygones in scrub nearby.
