A couple of notes for visitors - all permit holders should have received details of the new road to the Werribee River - basically go down New Farm Rd and turn sharp left after the freeway bridge. Takes you to a car park overlooking the river - basically the area you used to be able to walk to from Old Boundary Rd. Went there today - usual collection of bush birds. Not easy to get down to the river without a long walk - the bank is steep. The second point is that there is a lot of work going on at the Western Lagoons (The Spit) - seem to be excavating the first lagoon. You can still get in but lots of dust and not many birds! =============================== www.birding-aus.org birding-aus.blogspot.com To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: =============================== |
