Hi alla pair of Black Shouldered Kite flew over my house today, approx 4:30pm, which is not one of the more common raptors around here. They were quite high up and mixed in with a large flock of swifts, but there was no interaction noted between the birds. They came up from NE and circled off to SW. Interestingly, they held their wings in strong dihedral like a tiny Sea Eagle, which is why that is what I initially thought they were until I got the bins on them. Also seen from the house today was a Noisy Miner chasing a Welcome Swallow.
