Stockton is on the Hunter River estuary and a good spot for waders: it was a
terrific spot but.....!

The link is

http://maps.google.com.au/maps?hl=en&ie=UTF8&ll=-32.885354,151.790886&spn=0.077267,0.145912&z=13

Naturally paste as one line if it wraps! This should work too:

You'll see the small grey patch on the north side of the bridge, where the 121
road crosses Hunter River and the 'F' of Fullerton Road is on the map (below
Fern Bay). One must assume that yellow roads over blue water indicates a
bridge;-)

You enter the area under the bridge by turning on to Fullerton Street from
Fullerton Road and doubling back under the Southern side of the bridge! (The
double back track is very close to the road junction bend here. You actually
park under the bridge looking north at the "grey patch". This is where the
waders roost and you should try and see them from the car park area.

Change the link to satellite view and you can zoom in to see exactly where it
all is!

Good luck.

Alan

Thanks Phil for reporting this so quickly. For those interested, I've put
an entry on www.bird-o.com with some more information and links to reference
photos of the previous Eurasian Curlew sightings in NW WA.
