Hi allJust letting you know that an amazing spectacle of a minimum of 60,000 Oriental Pratincole's are currently feeding on Roebuck Plains along the highway to Port Headland. These birds are feeding on a large locust plague that is in the grassland and can been seen in several flocks often with 15,000 in each flock. Some of the photos can be seen at. http://www.pbase.com/wildlifeimages/oriental_pratincoleCheers Adrian Boyle =============================== www.birding-aus.org birding-aus.blogspot.comTo unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: =============================== |
