Hi all, On Wed, I rec'd an email with photo of White-browed Crake seen at West Bryon STW on 2nd Feb. Yesterday afternoon, I went there with 2 friends to search for it. All three of us got great views for about 10 mins & heard it calling many times before & after seeing it. No doubt, it's definitely a White-browed Crake, I think a long way south of it's normal range. Does anyone no if there's been many previous records, if any, of White-browed Crakes in NSW or SE QLD.? What would be the most southerly record for this species.?
