As I recall HANZAB suggests it may take a lyrebird 6 months to learn a call.I read it idly at my Dad's place a year or so ago so more than likely mymemory is faulty.

It was a bit cynical re the bird in David Attenborough's Life Of Birdsmimicking chainsaws, cameras and car alarms, as apparently this bird was incaptivity (I'm guessing Healesville?)
