Ray, I was there several times last year, once immediately before the
fire, and then around spring. No the fire haven't burnt it out; it was
looking as good as ever.
In terms of birding I've found the best spot to be the track immediately
next to the Wirra Willa walk. It's call Quarry Road, with the best
birding at the beginning, and up to and just beyond the small quarry.
See here a link to the brochure for the walk:

Subject: WirraWilla track
Can anyone tell me if I am correct in assuming that the Wirrawilla track
was
consumed in the 2009 fires?
Thanks,
Ray Kellman
