This is somewhat tongue in cheek but I've been working in Gladstone this week
and spent a couple of days on the water in Port Curtis i.e. between Gladstone
and Curtis Island. The weather on Tuesday / Wednesday was horrible - strong
(30-40Kt ) on shore winds and heavy rain. There were dozens of Black and a few
Common Noddies in the port area, small nos. of Bridled Terns and a couple of
Brown Boobies all visible from the shore / boats in the harbour. I suspect if
someone walked some of the open beaches further south, they'd be a few beach
washed birds.
