Hi all. On 18th Jan I visited Lake Galletly in SEQ. I was pleased to note that the number of Blue-billed Ducks seems to be on the increase. There were at least 4 males, 2 females and one juvenile present. However, I found it a bit disturbing to see just the lone duckling. Would this be indicative of a high mortality rate? I would be very interested to know if other birders have seen more ducklings prior to this. I have loaded a trip report with photos on Wildiaries if anyone is interested http://aussiebirding.wildiaries.com/trips/256 Cheers Steve Murray =============================== www.birding-aus.org birding-aus.blogspot.com To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: =============================== |
