Hi Ed,
We saw a juvenile Lewin's Rail at the usual spot yesterday morning
(Wednesday) at just after 6am. Showed well for a minute then wandered
off.
I'm sure the Ruff is still around although it will be hard to see now
as the water level is dropping giving it more areas to hide/feed in.
Also it seems a number of birders are walking straight out to the edge
of the mud where the birds used to feed in order to try to see it
therefore not allowing the birds to come into the spot where it was
first recorded.
