I saw quite a few WTNTs the same morning (Jan 9) but on the coast at Alexandra Headland. For about two hours I could see 20 or more birds but I couldn't determine whether or not it was the same birds or groups moving through. The were flying ahead of a storm front as far as I could tell. The swifts disappeared when the clouds broke up

Mike,
Over 30 WTNT's seen over 1km of road about 5km south of Montville, Sunshine Coast hinterland at 0715 on Sat 9th Jan. Birds using updraft from eastern edge of Blackall Range, so were, on average, only 30m above road.
