We spent some days down at Bermi for a family holiday before new years. Limited birding. Highlights were a Striated Heron along Bermagui South Lagoon, a Latham's Snipe and Great Egret in breeding plumage at an almost dry Bermagui Lagoon, variety of wet forest birds at Lilly Pilly Rainforest Walk, many nesting Little Terns at Wallaga Lake, Figbirds galore along Lamont St in town and a dead Long-nosed Potoroo along the highway in Bodalla SF. On the way down had good views of a Square-tailed Kite at Batehaven.
