Hi Martin,
This is just a personal observation that in this country most twitchers are
terrible at actually submitting their sightings. There are also a lot of
people who assume "someone else will submit the sighting" and so no one
does. I have in mind an occasion where a Painted Snipe was being seen every
day by a number of birders and yet there was only one record of that bird in
the Atlas after several weeks. If you feel you fall into either category,
I'd urge you to sign up to be an Atlasser and start submitting sightings!
