RFI - access to Penrhyn Rd Sydney

Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone could update me on the current status of  
Penrhyn Rd and the boat ramp etc in terms of birding and access?  
Haven't been since they were going to be doing all the work. Is it  
accessible to the public again?
If anyone could help i would really appreciate it - also any birding  
highlights recently would be great too :)
