Some unusual sightings in Yungaburra this last week.
Double-barred finch on Petersen Creek
Banded Honeyeater just up the road from my place
Yellow Honeyeater in town
Yellow-faced Honeyeater at my place
Cotton Pygmy Goose on the wetland below my house this morning but could not see
it when I came back at lunch time.

Seems like they have followed the noisy Friarbirds in from the west.

In my garden this afternoon a Collared Sparrowhawk made a kill but I could not
identify the prey. No binoculars!

Regards,
Alan Gillanders
