There are several small groups on Kangaroo Island, some of which appear to be quite wild. I've seen them along Hog Bay Road near Pennington Bay and along the North Coast Road near Wisanger. The latter weren't far from farmed areas but the ones near Pennington Bay I ticked. Does anyone have an opinion as to whether Peafowl is tickable? There are small, but long standing, apparently self sustaining populations in Collingwood and Fairfield (in Melbourne). The Fairfield Hospital population has been there continuously since at leat the late 1980s. These could probably be described as feral, but how would this be different to the (I believe tickable) populations of Rock Dove, Common Myna, Ostrich, etc.? Bill |
