Hi again,  

 

Thanks for the interesting replies!  I am convinced this is not a Rufous
Whistler - female or juvenile, due to the heavy streaking, from throat to
belly and lack of colour on the chest.  We have the R Whistler frequently
here and this is very different.  Lack of eyebrow is what confuses me, but
my bet is either juvenile Speckled Warbler or adult male Chestnut-rumped
Heathwren.

Hi all

 

Can anyone help confirm the ID of the bird shown at the following link?
Taken this morning at Axedale in Central Vic.  About Robin size, but
streaking appears too strong even for juvenile Scarlet.  Maybe Heathwren?
Eyebrow wrong for Speckled Warbler?
