Hello again,

I found a young White-eared Monarch in mangroves along the Brisbane
River this morning on my way to work. [ I didn't have my camera so
you'll have to take my word for it :-) ]

It was along the "Tarcoola Track", which runs between St Lucia and
Long Pocket (27d30m24s, 153d00m01s: google earth)

Easiest access would be to park on The Esplanade, just near the
junction with Tarcoola St, St Lucia. Walk in along the track to a
footbridge about 100m from the road. Keep going over the bridge, and
about 20m more, to the base of some stairs, where there is a flat
cleared area between the path and the river. It was in the canopy of
the mangroves there.

While this spot is only 12km from Gold Ck Rd, Upper Brookfield which
is a reliable spot - I hadn't seen them in the suburbs before.

Cheers
Mat
