I reckon the 'Shorebirds of Australia' published by a Qld mob is pretty
good. I can't give you the publishng details etc 'cos I've just moved
interstate and most of my birding books including this one are still
packed-somewhere...

I have recently read Life on lands edge, about Roebuck Bay, Broome and
also a british based book, wader behaviour, both of which were very
informative.
what I am wondering is people can recommend a book(s) that covers
shorebirds in australia in terms of their life here as well as at their
breeding grounds. Natural history prose rather than scientific
writing
would be preferable but either will do.

Reading these other books turned waders more into living birds for me
rather than dots in a mass on a beach and also assisted me in noticing
their feeding behaviour.

thanks for any info.

Gary
