Last Friday (October 30) two Black-bellied Storm-Petrels were seen and photographed on a pelagic charter out of Sydney (I was away in NZ and missed the trip unfortunately!). This is the second good rarity in the space of a couple of weeks after a juvenile Grey-headed Albatross was seen on October 21st. With a beachcast Southern Fulmar found recently at Boat Harbour, the pelagic action seems pretty good around Sydney at the moment. The next regular Sydney pelagic trip is scheduled for Saturday 14th November and there are still plenty of places available. Please call Hal on 0411 311 236 to make a booking.
