Hi all,

I photographed two Southern Fulmars yesterday in Portland Harbour, not seen
this am. There was also one present on the 10 & 11 October with a Cape Petrel
(cape remained for nearly a week).
I was also on the pelagic off Port MacDonnell on 11 Oct when we had one, so a
few about this spring.

Also of interest was an Australasian Bittern attacking a Swamp Harrier in a
swamp near Portland (most likely defending young), the bittern would jump
straight up out of the tussocks at the harrier as it made a few  low passes
over the tussocks, the bittern won the battle.
