Folks

I'm asking for reports of sightings over the next few weeks of small tern
- Sternula albifrons and Sternula nereis (Fairy Tern and Little Tern) in
Victoria, in particular birds spotted in Gippsland where both species
range overlap.

These birds start to migrate into Gippsland roughly around October and
depart sometime in March. Sightings would greatly assist me and my
Departmental biodiversity colleagues in quickly targeting areas for our
monitoring program during their breeding season.

Many thanks in advance

Faye
