Hi everyone,

A quick note to say that it's time to start organising your team,
chasing that sponsorship, and working out your route for 2009
Twitchathon.

In Victoria we have two competitions, a 24 hr race and an 8 hr race. The
race is scheduled for the 7th-8th November - although it is worth noting
that we will allow racing on an earlier weekend if these dates are
impossible for your team to participate. Importantly it's really worth
remembering that all money raised from Twitchathon sponsorship is
donated to bird research and education, and that regionally this event
is one of our most significant conservation revenue streams.

So please don't hesitate to contact me (email or by mobile are probably
best) if you're keen to participate in this fun and unique sporting
event. What better way to spend spring than birding on our beaches, in
our bush, surveying our heathland and looking at our wonderful mudflats!

I look forward to hearing from you.

Cheers,

Tim Dolby
