It needs to go back into captivity from where it has obviously come not put
onto a large lake somewhere.
The Avicultural Society of Australia has a Waterfowl group, or Melbourne Zoo
should be able to put you in contact with the appropriate people.
Cheers Jeff Davies.

Subject: Mute Swan in Melbourne - help!
Importance: High
A Mute Swan has appeared in SE Melbourne and Wildlife Victoria want to know
an appropriate place for it to go.
Are there any around here? I imagine a fair sized lake with no Black Swans
and perhaps with Mute Swans.
The bird is weak - took an age to walk across a main road - and kids have
been throwing stones at it.
