A work mate had a Crimson Rosella in his backyward down at Torquay, Victoria with blotches of a deep yellow colouration on its mantles and scapulars. Also with patches on its breast and vents. It otherwise looks like a full adult Crimson Rosella. Theres a few possiblities; hybrid with Eastern, slightly luecistic..but the yellow is almost reminiscent of a "Yellow Rosella", and my best guess is just an odd gene thrown up in the mix of this highly variable species. I have a photo i can send to those interested in making a comment on the bird.
