When I worked at a fauna park on the gold coast we had a butcherbird that would only target boys of about 10 years old and that were wearing a blue cap. The bird would hit from behind and literally pierce the ear (or at least do some good damage). This happened on quite a few occasions that I know of that were reported so who knows how mant more happened. However the specific nature of the targets does lend itself heavily to a bird that was 'targetted' itself by at least one small human in a blue hat. Happy birding!!!!!
