The good news, for those of you who follow the news, is that a large
tourist development proposed for Inskip Pt was knocked on the head
today.
Regards, Laurie.

All
Firstly, many thanks to all those that responded to my RFI for the
Gympie area a few weeks ago.
I went to Inskip on Saturday and saw and photographed Black-bellied
Buttonquail and Beach Stone-curlew.
The buttonquail was on the left about 50m before the turning point,
about 3m into the bush.
The Stone-curlews were also on the left another 50m from the
turning point in the edge of the scrub on the beachside.
I also saw Red-winged Parrot at Cooloola Cove, and Spectacled
Monarch, Noisy Pitta and Logrunner at Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve
A post including photos is on my blog

Thanks again for the info - birding aus is a fantastic resource!!
cheers
Tony
