As a follow-up to Penny Brockman's list of birds for her garden, I thought I
would mention that two weeks ago we had a committee meeting for BASQ here at my
home in Palmwoods. There were a few complaints as we sat on the patio that the
birds were too distracting as the honeyeaters squabbled and chased one another
around the garden in the flowering grevillas. There were 5 species of
honeyeaters sharing the 5 different grevillas in flower alll within 5-6 metres
of us: Brown, Dusky, Scarlet, Blue-faced and Lewin's as well as the regulars
such as Rainbow Lorikeet, Little Shrike-thrush, Golden Whistler, etc.

It was really great to be able to share my birds with some other keen birdos.
