Phillip,
It seems that Mark Brazil's "Birds of East Asia" is the best guide for
the region. It has had good reviews. Jesper Hornskov gave a good
review http://www.birdwatch.co.uk/website/content/view/2751/105/
and he is one of the "gun" birders for the region. He has been living
in China for over 15 years. You can buy it from the usual places. It
only came out early this year, so it might be a bit early to pick up a
2nd hander, bur giv AbeBooks a try.
Cheers,
Carl Clifford

I'm interested to buy 2nd hand or new or borrow.
