Subject: Tawny Frogmouth Health Problems?

A friend of mine who is a vet on Sydney's northern beaches told me that he
had had 3 or 4 moribund Tawny Frogmouths brought in recently suffering from
a parasitic worm in their central nervous system which he assumed had been
picked up from some food source. He said that a couple of his colleagues in
the area had reported similar occurrences.

Is anyone aware of such problems with the Tawny Frogmouth population of
northern Sydney or elsewhere?

Cheers

Roger McGovern
