Hi All
I was asked last night about a birding occurrence someone had witnessed.
It involved a group (murder) of Ravens in Bendigo. I presume they were
Little Ravens and they were making a racket, not alarm calls, and gradually
more and more ravens landed in the tree. Finally, when it appeared that no
more ravens were around, a final two landed and instantly the racket
stopped. Not another sound was heard from them.
The chap who witnessed this was quite intrigued by this behaviour and I said
I would see if I could find out why the ravens ceased so suddenly.
Can anyone shed any light on this behaviour please?
Was the arrival of the final two a signal of some sort?
Thanks for any information
Happy birding
Marlene.
