Hi everyone, I saw an unusual Red-rumped Parrot at Windsor on the weekend. It's a very scrawny female, with a deformed mandible. Instead of having a usual formed beak, the mandible is a large bulbous mass. I was wondering if others have noticed other birds with this condition, and whether people know what causes it. Link to the picture I took of it. http://i272.photobucket.com/albums/jj177/MTY400/Birds/Small%20Files/Red-rump edParrot002Canon1000.jpg Regards, Mark and/or Mandy =============================== www.birding-aus.org birding-aus.blogspot.com To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message: unsubscribe (in the body of the message, with no Subject line) to: =============================== |
