G'day Tim,
We're yet to decide on a specific route, and specific locations. But we will
either travel in a north/south direction or vise versa. My wife's not too
fussed about visiting birding spots, just as long as we don't visit too
many. (Which in wife language probably means 1 or 2, but I'll pretend to be
ignorant and plan for at least 4).
And I need to clear-up a typo in my original email, the time we will be
spending will be about a week in Italy, France for 2-3 weeks and the UK for
3-4 weeks.
Regards,
Mark and/or Mandy

Where about in France are you going Mark (i.e. north, south)?
Cheers,
Tim

G'day everyone,
My wife and I are making travel arrangements for a holiday starting in
Rome, then heading onto France and finishing up in the UK.
We are looking at going this time next year for about 6 weeks.
I was looking to get some birding done in at each country. I will
probably only have a day in Italy and France, but I'm hoping to get 2-3
days in the UK.
We haven't yet finalised where we are going as I was hoping to get some
pointers as to where I might find some good birding spots, and plan
around that. The only must see bird are the puffins up the top of the
UK, everything else will be a bonus.
If anyone has any advice on where to go in any of these countries, or of
any good birding organisations I could contact in these countries, or
has some information about some places that they've visited when they
went there, it would be much appreciated.
Regards,
Mark
