I put Barn Owl because it does "screaming woman" type calls and is probably responsible for most and likely the culprit.

I put the smiley to show the "screaming woman neighbour" was a subtle joke, even though a regular occurrence here.

I've never heard either but surely what my British guide calls the "prolonged, strangled, almost blood-curdling.screech" of the Barn Owl is the one that follows the end of the screaming woman and man calls?
