Is it just me, or are there really huge numbers of Musk Lorikeets in the
southern cities at the moment?

Around various parts of Melbourne I've come across lots of Musk Lorikeets in the last month - outnumbering Rainbows in many places. I was in Adelaide
last week - hordes of them around Salisbury/Edinburgh in the north, and
closer to the centre. In Geelong (Vic) on the weekend, again hordes. I
noted on Birdline that there are some big groups being seen in Hobart (Tas)
too.

So - are there many left in the goldfields of central Victoria and further
north? Curious ....
