Hi all sorry for late posting. Ray Gobbe and I were down at Mistral Point
yesterday. Highlights were: a Brown Booby (seen by Ray but not me - flying
very close in under the cliff edge hence I missed it as I was watching
further out!); and Kermadec Petrel, seen from about 800m in full sunlight -
it reminded me of a tiny albatross with long grey/brown wings, it appeared
to be somewhere between a light and an intermediate - very obvious were the
underwing patch and on the upperwing another vaguer patch caused by the
white primary bases; a relatively slow meandering flight meant it was
observed for over a minute. Otherwise - Humpback Whales breaching, an
Australian Fur Seal, tens of Black-Browed Albatross, a few Fluttering and
Fluttering-types and not much else.

Cheers, Graham Buchan
