Hi Don,

I meant to reply earlier. I use the 12x36 IS and love them. They're not weather proof but are fantastic. I think there is better glass out there but the IS makes such a difference. I bought the 12x36 IS after giving a pair of the 10x30 IS to my mum a couple of years ago. I went for the 12 as the IS lets you go longer than typical birding binos.
