Hi birders, Driving down to Jamberoo this morning from the Barren Grounds area, I witnessed a Lyrebird in full display performing for an attentive female. There is nothing unusual in this at this time of the year, but the amazing thing was both birds were within 3 metres of the bitumen road, seemingly oblivious to the passing traffic. On the way back up the Mountain, the Male was still there scratching about. For those interested in finding Lyrebirds, the main road from Misty lane going up the Mountain road to Barren Grounds is one of the best spots, Far better than Barren grounds itself.
