Hi everyone, While I was doing one of my surveys yesterday I confirmed my suspicion that Swift parrots are around at the moment. I saw at least two in Dusmore Rd and another 2-4 (or maybe the same two another couple of times) in Blue Gum Reserve on my way home. I had my suspicions a few weeks ago when I saw larger groups (up to 20+) of parrots flying around the area not quite behaving or sounding as the usual Rainbow Lorikeets. Of course I never had binoculars handy when I saw them and they were going too fast, high and far to chase on foot. Perhaps others in the area should look at flocks of parrots a bit more closely - just in case.
