Hi everyone,

I have recently been researching accommodation on King Island and in my journey
I came across a website for some holiday houses on Naracoopa Beach. The website
has a slideshow and amongst the various images up pops this one titled "A
lonely penguin". See link

I'm assuming the foto was taken on Naracoopa Beach.

Am I imagining things or is that an Adelie Penguin?!?

From what I can gather there have only been 2 accepted Australian records away
from breeding localities; one Port Davey and one from Fortescue Bay, both in
southern Tassie. It's also listed as a vagrant to Maquarie Is.

A good example of one flying under the radar (not literally of course)!

Mick
